What to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Let's be honest, summer weddings are fabulous. (As a July bride myself, I'm partial...but really.) You get to see friends, sip cocktails at sunset, celebrate people you love, and maybe take a trip somewhere cool (all hail the destination wedding!)

Picking out something to wear though, can be trickier. Depending on location, temperature, vibe, and color scheme (yes, some brides now prefer their guests wear certain hues so that their pictures are elegant & seamless!) it can be hard to find the perfect party-ready ensemble.

I recently attended my fabulous friend Hayley's wedding to her sweet, kind, funny fiancé Tyler (He's in the country band Florida Georgia Line!)

Their wedding was in Sun Valley, Idaho (which is FAB, by the way) at a rustic-chic ranch with the mountains as a backdrop for their big day. Every detail was perfectly Hayley & Tyler: Pretty & elegant, yet relaxed. Awesome food & drinks (moscow mule's on repeat and a cheese display that made my cheese-loving heart skip a beat!). The warm, inviting ambience filled the room as great friends laughed together all night. Tyler even secretly recorded a song to play during their first dance! *Swoon*

I wore a printed halter dress from Zimmermann and my husband wore an ice blue Viktor & Rolf suit (which is one of my FAVES)
