Slightly frigid temperatures did not keep the most stylish and fashion-obsessed away from New York Fashion Week Fall 2016 shows.
It was all about two things in New York this week: layers and layers. Whether it was layering clothing or layering accessories, the fashion elite did not let their style suffer because of the weather.
The street style ran the gamut from colorful furry accents to chicly all black and a few brave fashionistas that attempted to show off their Spring style with bare legs. If you thought colorblocking was so last year, think again, the fashion set knows how to block -- still. This time with layering colorful patterns and materials. A fuzzy black and white sweater with a bright pink clutch and a brown patchwork jacket -- they make it work.
Rocking a tee over a sweater? Absolutely. A coat and then a coat worn as a cape? Old man winter did not stop the fashion fabulous.
