Before you know it, all the celebs will be waltzing down the red carpet at the 2016 Emmy Awards looking perfectly stunning in their designer gowns and suits. But what do they do to get ready before such a big event? Well, a couple of celebs shared photos with their followers as they prepped for the show, according to PEOPLE.
Amy Schumer is no stranger to Instagram. She posted a few photos today of her prep, so her fans could see all the hard work the comedian goes through to look as amazing as she does on the red carpet. Of course, what would the evening be without a look back at the day she was told she was nominated for six awards.

“The day I found out I was nominate for 6 emmys. I was so sick. And now they are tonight!” she captioned her re-posted video where she promptly blew her nose and plopped back in bed.
In terms of day-of prep, both Schumer and Kristen Bell opted for a patchy kinda look for their photos. Schumer sporting a couple of under-eye patches, while Bell chose the full on forehead version. Bell also mentions that her make-up artist put on a lip conditioning sticker to prep her lips – though Bell is sure it was just put there to shut her up.
No one’s prep seemed as intense as Project Runway‘s Heidi Klum who opted for an entire – and very scary looking – full face mask earlier in the week. As for night of, she is hanging out with her glam squad.
When it comes to getting dressed though, Emily Ratajkowski takes the cake. Her prep involved designer Zac Posen personally shortening her train as she glammed up. Sometimes it takes the hands of the designer himself to make sure the dresses are absolutely perfect.
Not everyone was all about sharing their lipstick and gown fitting prep, however. Both Sophia Vergara and America Ferrera were all about sharing their delectable looking pre-Emmy meals. What’s the perfect before show meal? Burgers.
