Zac Efron announced some devastating news on social media that his beloved dog named Puppy has passed away.
The 28-year-old actor took to Instagram last night to share the heartbreaking story. He posted the news with a throwback photo of him holding Puppy while the dog is licking his face.

Efron added this caption to the photo: “Through thick and thin you’ve always been my best friend. I’ll see you at the finish line, RIP Puppy Efron.” He also added prayer hands and angel emojis in addition to the lyrics to Chance the Rapper’s song “Finish Line/Drown.”
“Felt hog tied every since my dog died/ He lived to 84, damn, that’s a long ride/ I know he up there he just sit and he wait/ I’ll be racing up the stairs I’mma get to the gate singing.”
Hopefully Zac’s other two dogs, Chapelle and Dreamer, will be able to comfort him in light of Puppy’s recent passing.
RIP, Puppy Efron.
