We’ve been waiting for this particular shoe since 1989 and now it is finally here – the Nike Mag. A version of the self-tying shoe from Back to the Future Part 2 will soon be available for purchase in November 2016. But, you don’t want to wait that long – and maybe want to help make a difference – Nike is raffling off 89 pairs of the film’s Nike Mag.
Straight out of the 1989 film Back to the Future Part 2, the Nike Mag not only lights up, but it senses your foot and ties automatically. Yes, you will no longer have to worry about tripping over your shoelaces or being embarrassed about Velcro straps. The future is finally here.

Nike has once again partnered with the Michael J. Fox Foundation to raffle off 89 pairs of the Nike Mag. To enter, simply donate $10 to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. The raffle does take multiple donations for multiple entries. So feel free to donate as much as you can, after all, all the proceeds go towards Parkinson’s research, so it’s for a good cause. The winners of the raffle will be notified on October 17, 2016.
In November, Nike will be releasing a self-tying shoe, but it won’t quite be the Nike Mag. The HyperAdapt 1.0 lights up and ties itself, but it has a different style and feel than the classic shoe from the movie. This is a technological shoe for 2016, complete with Nike’s sporty looks.
So, don’t miss this chance to get a pair of Nike Mags straight out of the movie. There won’t be another chance, and we all know what can happen if you were to travel back in time.
