The fourth season of House of Cards ended with jaw-dropping intensity, leaving fans with an insatiable need to know what is going to happen next.

While we still have to wait until the end of next month for season five to debut on Netflix, we’ve got a new batch of photos to hold us over, and there are definitely some reveals here.

Before we get into that, however, please be aware there will be spoilers for from past seasons of House of Cards.

The first picture revealed is a shot of President Frank Underwood and his wife Claire, played brilliantly by Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, respectively, and it depicts the fictional First Couple sharing a drink, toasting to something, most likely the epic victory they narrowly secured in season four’s final episode.

The next shot we see appears to be the Underwoods on the campaign trail.

Among the events of the last season, we saw Claire take strong action with the Russian president while Frank was in the hospital, leading him to choose her as his running mate in the new election.

These duel “Underwood 2016” signs suggest that his current Vice President,ย Donald Blythe, has effectivelyย been dropped.

The groundwork was already laid for his exodus last season, though, when the character’s spouse suffered severelyย deteriorating health. He was still gung-ho about his work though so it’ll be interesting to see how that conversation goes once season five launches.

Another picย from the new season confirms two other returning characters.

Looks like Michael Kelly, who plays Dougย Stamper, Frank Underwood’s ever loyal Chief of Staff, as well as season four newcomer Neveย Campbell, who plays politicalย consultantย LeAnn Harvey, are both coming back in season five.

It’s no surprise that Doug is back really. He’s been devoted to the Underwoods, specifically Frank, from the very beginning, and it’s inarguable that without him they never would have risen to the top of the American politics food chain.ย

LeAnnย Harvey’s return is… not surprising, but she really didn’t have all that much screen time last season. Maybe this new one will be her time to really shine.

Lastly, we see that Joel Kinnamanย is returning as Will Conway, the Republican Governor who’s running against Frank for the presidency, alongsideย Dominique McElligottย playing his wife Hannah.

There’s a lot to get excited about here! Check out House of Cards season five when it hits Netflixย on May, 30th.
