There are more than 2,500 stars on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the woman to receive the 2,589th star is none other than American Horror Story alum, Kathy Bates.

Bates name has always been associates with horror movies. Back in 1990, she won an academy award for her most iconic role, “Kathy Bates” in Stephen King’s Misery. Since 2013, the actress has called American Horror Story home. She has been former socialite Marie Delphine LaLaurie in AHS: Coven, bearded lady Ethel Darling in AHS: Freak Show, and hotel manager Iris in AHS: Hotel.

Of course, Bates isn’t new to television. She has two Emmy awards under her belt, one for her role on AHS and one for her role as the Ghost of Charlie Harper on Two and a Half Men. As for film most of her well known roles are from the 1990’s and early 2000’s, including movies like Fried Green Tomatoes, About Schmidt, and, a fan favorite, Waterboy, alongside Adam Sandler.
Bates will officially unveil her star on September 20th. It’s located directly across from the legendary Chinese Theater. But if you want to see Bates before that, the latest season of AHS, American Horror Story: Roanoke, premiered on September 14 on FX.
