Ron Lester, most notably known for his role as Billy Bob in Varsity Blues, is in critical condition. The 45-year-old actor was hospitalized in Dallas, Texas and has been there for nearly four months.

His health has been in a steady decline since he's been in the hospital, and his overall health is not looking good according to TMZ. Lester was previously hospitalized back in November for issues with his liver, and later reported having problems with his kidneys.

Lester told TMZ back in January that he was also having problems with his heart, "but seemed to be in good spirits and even joked about the situation."

Ron Lester struggled with his weight and health for years, dating back to 2001 when he had to undergo gastric bypass surgery. His weight was reportedly up to 508 lbs. at the time and then after the surgery he was able to drop close to 350 lbs.

Lester rose to stardom in Varsity Blues alongside James Van Der Beek, Paul Walker, and Scott Caan. He played a lovable lineman on the football team on Varsity Blues, and also portrayed a football player in popular show Freaks And Geeks. Other roles included appearances in "Not Another Teen Movie" as well as "CSI: NY."

Thoughts go out to Lester and his family.
