Donald Trump's entire campaign has been a force of nature, to say the least. The below tweet published from Trump Jr. shows a bowl of Skittles with a pretty sweeping statement made about Syrian refugees. Well, the photographer of the image has spoken out since he is a former refugee.

48-year-old David Kittos from Guildford, UK recently woke up to controversy when he noticed a picture he posted to Flickr had become the center of a huge political debate. He told the BBC that he was not happy at all with what was happening:

This was not done with my permission, I don't support his politics and I would never take his money to use it. In 1974, when I was six-years old, I was a refugee from the Turkish occupation of Cyprus so I would never approve the use of this image against refugees.

Kittos does not follow Twitter and his friends were the ones who let him know his image was being used for the Trump campaign.

Wriggly, the company who owns Skittles, came in quickly with a statement regarding the matter:

Skittles are candy. Refugees are people. We don't feel it is an appropriate analogy.

Kittos also went into detail with the BBC about wanting Trump to remove the image from the campaign and not taking legal action:

I would like the Trump campaign to delete the image, but they are probably not interested in what I have to say. I was thinking about getting lawyers involved but I don't know if I have the patience. This isn't about the money for me. They could have just bought a cheap image from a micro stock library. This is pure greed from them. I don't think they care about my feelings. They should not be stealing an image full stop.

Donald Trump's campaign might want to rethink their strategy next time they decide to throw a picture out on Twitter.
