Fans have been awaiting Ronda Rousey's return to the Octagon since her stunning first career loss to Holly Holm, but fans will once again be disappointed to learn that she will not be returning for UFC 205.

The fight, which is scheduled to take place at Madison Square Garden in November, is a milestone event for mixed martial arts seeing as New York had a ban on the sport for 19 years. Many speculated that Rousey, being one of the biggest names in MMA, would make her return coincide with the major event. For unknown reasons that will not be happening.

"[Rousey is] definitely not fighting in New York," said Dana White on UFC Unfiltered, according to Rolling Stone. "I'm actually going to start building the New York card this week."

All hope is not lost, however. The UFC president added that Rousey would likely return to the national stage before the end of the year.
