The producers of the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards are giving rapper Kanye West 4 minutes to do whatever he wants on stage...what could possibly go wrong, right?

Apparently the producers are expecting something big, but they are entirely clueless as to what it will be. Will he rap? Dance? Deliver a mind-numbingly long speech where he announces his presidential run in 2020 again? Who knows.

Rumors have also been circulating about Kanye and Taylor Swift squashing their beef in a public forum. However, sources close to Swift say that she is not planning on attending, which is odd for the "Blank Space" singer.

Other exciting VMA news includes: the Chainsmokers taking the mainstage to perform their smash hit "Closer with collaborator Halsey and DJ Khaled hosting the pre-show festivities.

Some of the previously announced performers include: Britney Spears featuring G-Eazy, Ariana Grande with Nicki Minaj, Nick Jonas featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Future, and the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard recipient Rihanna.

The 2016 "MTV Video Music Awards" will air Live on Sunday, August 28 at 9:00 p.m. ET from New York's Madison Square Garden.
