Grey's Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone is pregnant!

The actress is expecting her second child with husband Rob Giles, sharing the happy news Thursday at a Television Critics Association event, Entertainment Tonight reports. The couple are already parents to daughter Eliza, who was born in 2012.

"[We're] very, very excited," Scorsone said at the event, where she showed off her baby bump in a figure-hugging black dress.

"It'll be challenging," she admitted of filming while pregnant. "It's going to happen somewhere during the shooting season. But Shondaland is the best place for that to happen."

The actress also added that she and her husband are keeping the gender of their baby to themselves.

"Yeah. We're kind of not [saying]," she revealed.

Scorsone plays Dr. Amelia Shepherd on the hit medical drama, and her character just tied the knot on the show with Kevin McKidd's character, Owen.

So is there a baby on the way for the fictional couple? Not according to Scorsone.

"I don't think so," she said. "We're picking up the season immediately after we left off, which was the wedding where Amelia was not pregnant," she explained, adding there will be some "very fancy footwork for the director of photography" and joking that she'll be wearing more "lab coats" this season.

She also revealed a bit about her upcoming storyline, noting that Amelia and Owen will have to adjust to life as a married couple.

"A lot of their story this year will be negotiating this whole different dynamic, sharing a life and being vulnerable when you're terrified of all of that stuff," she told Entertainment Weekly. "I think it's going to be a lot of really pithy conversations about what this new way of being is. I hope we get to explore how complicated and messy and sexy marriage can be. A lot of the time the story ends at 'I do.' As a lot of people know, that's the beginning of the story."

Grey's Anatomy's 13th season will premiere Thursday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
