Turns out this might not be the first dangerous incident of an alligator at Disney's resorts.

According to the Mirror, Carl and Karen Davies were visiting Polynesian Village Resort in April with their two young children.

While the family was enjoying a fireworks show at the Seven Seas Lagoon, the same lagoon where a boy was attacked and pulled under on Wednesday, their daughter said she heard a strange jet-ski-like noise.

Then, a nearby Canadian family shouted, "Alligator!" and when Carl looked up, the gator was right there.

"It was directly in front of us, around 40 feet away," Carl said. "It lurched out of the water and we had to run. It was pitch black with no lighting on the actual beach section."

The alligator, by Davies' estimation, was at least four feet in length.

"We decided to call it a night given that it was unsafe," he said. "The Canadians caught a security man on a golf cart and told him about the incident. Then we left for our villa."

Davies said he is speaking out about their experience to warn other parents who may be visiting the resorts this summer.
