For some films to get made, all you need is a catchy title and maybe some exciting promotional art for financiers to throw money at filmmakers. With the horror-comedy WolfCop, the name alone is enough to get fans excited and instantly describe what the film will be about. The 2014 film was such a success that it earned itself a sequel, Another WolfCop, which just got a trailer that you can view above.

The film's synopsis is as follows:

"Alcoholic werewolf cop Lou Garou springs into action when an eccentric businessman with evil intentions seduces Woodhaven's residents with a new brewery and hockey team in this outrageous horror-comedy sequel."

The sequel originally premiered at Fantastic Fest but, in preparation for its screenings at the Fantasia International Film Festival, got this all-new trailer.

Although you'd think the name "WolfCop" would be goofy enough to earn support from a company like Syfy, the film resorted to crowdfunding to earn its shooting budget. Much like the original film, Another WolfCop also turned to a crowdfunding site to raise funds, but rather than using the money to fund the movie, the funds were merely to get fans more involved in the filmmaking process.

Per the film's campaign page:

"WolfCop 2 is fully financed and ready to shoot. What we really need now is your help to build our WolfPack and expand the global reach of WolfCop's dedicated fan base and to do that we want to get YOU involved from the start!

"Why are you so important? Because without you - our fans - WolfCop never would have been made! WolfCop was created by fans for fans, and we're keeping that tradition alive. We want all of you directly involved in the booze-and-blood filled awesomeness that will be WolfCop 2!"

Compared to a wide variety of different films that have relied on crowdfunding to merely be able to create a project, Another WolfCop's use of the platform is an interesting way to remind audiences that the films are made for them and allows them an opportunity to be directly involved in the filmmaking process, as long as you have the cash to "put your money where your mouth is."

The sequel will once again be directed by Lowell Dean, so you can expect the same kind of madness you saw in the original film to be prevalent in the sequel.
