If you've ever loved The Twilight Zone than this is a show for you. This series is a collection of stories that take place in the modern world and look at the darker side of life. For example, what would happen if advances in technology get a little too out of hand? How would we deal with everyday issues? This show takes a look at what could happen.
Each episode is an entire story encompassed into an hour, and though the episodes sometimes deal with similar technologies, they are not connected in an over-arching story. The first two seasons of this show were made for BBC, but Netflix picked up the stunning sci-fi show for season three.
What makes this a great mid-season break show is that you don't have to watch an entire season. Watch an episode here or there, you won't be missing anything or waiting for the answer to a cliff hanger. It might be a great change of pace.prevnext
