After the news broke that Christopher ‘Big Black’ Boykin had passed away Tuesday at the age of 45, celebrities took to social media almost immediately to share their condolences and fond memories of the well-loved star.
He was Dyrdek’s best friend and bodyguard on their reality show, which ran from 2006 to 2008 and Boykin also appeared on Fantasy Factory.

The pals got into a bunch of random adventures, like breaking Guinness records, exorcising their house, installing an ATM and, of course, catching people with their net gun.
No cause of death has yet been released, but Hollywood is out in full force to mourn the loss of the beloved star.

Dyrdek’s receptionist-turned-rapper Chanel West Coast took to Twitter to express her sadness over Boykin’s death.
“My heart is crushed,” the rapper wrote.ย
Before he was a reality TV star, Boykin served in the U.S. Navy.
Boykinย passed away at the very young age of 45.

Steelo Brim, part of Dyrdek’sย Fantasy Factoryย crew shared an image of Boykinย Tuesday with an emotional message for his late friend. Brim also co-hosts Dyrdek’sย showย Ridiculousness.ย
“My brain can’t truly comprehend this. As soon as we met we became friends. Genuine, Funny, Family Man, just an Overall Great guy. May God Rest his soul and he make everyone in heaven smile like he did on earth! LOVE!” Brim captioned his post.ย

Boykin is survived by a 9-year-old daughter.ย
