Jenna Dewan Tatum and Channing Tatum have been together for 12 years and married for eight. They are one of the few Hollywood couples who met on the set of a film they were co-starring in, and managed to create a long-standing relationship.
They recently celebrated their eight wedding anniversary in a very old-school way. The couple and their 4-year-old daughter Everly traveled to Michigan and spent time off the grid at a wilderness camp.

Not only did they remove themselves from electronics and the internet, but they were camping at a place that didn’t even have an address.

The Magic Mike star and World of Dance host, both 37, met on the set of their 2006 film Step Up. They tied the knot three years later in July 2009, and have been smitten with each other ever since.
In a recent interview, the Kingsman: The Golden Circle star shared the secret to his nearly decade long marriage, and it’s fairly simple.
“Just listen to each otherโthat’s it,” Channing told E! News. “There’s no magic recipe. Every two unique snowflakes that meet are going to have a different combination.”
In addition to spending quality time with their daughter, the family got to enjoy time in nature during their short getaway wilderness trip. In the description Tatum provides below regarding the trip, it seems like a picture-perfect relaxation destination.
Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum Celebrate Eight Years of Marriage
The actress and her family traveled to the middle of nowhere in Michigan for a getaway trip to celebrate the couple’s eight wedding anniversary.ย
It turns out, Channing was totally in his element on the vacation.
“I call [Channing] Bear Grylls. He really loves being outdoors, in nature,” Tatum, 36, said during an appearance onย Live with Kelly and Ryanย on Friday. “So, we went on a wilderness camp with our daughter, which is in the middle of nowhere in Michigan. And I can’t even tell you where it was because that’s part of the deal. If you tell anyone, you can never come back. There’s no address, there’s no WiFi, there’s no service. There’s, like, one little internet cabin.”
That little cabin did come in handy at least once on the vacation though, even if they didn’t want to admit it to each other.ย
“It was really funny because we were like, ‘You know what? We’re going to enjoy this. We’re not going to have internet,’” theย World of Danceย star explained. “The first day, you’re feigning. You’re like, ‘I need to know my emails!’”ย
“And then one day, I was like, ‘I’m going to go take a walk,’ and Chan was like, ‘Yeah, I’m going to take a walk, too,’” she continued. “We ended up at the internet cafรฉ. I was like, ‘I know where you were. I see you!’”
Everly Loves the Outdoors
The couple’s daughter Everly loved every second of the trip, at least once she got used to the remote area.ย
“She loved it! The first two days … you know, we’re in a cabin on a lake with really nothing for her to do, so she’s a little stir-crazy,” the proud mom recalled. “And then we found they had a wilderness camp for kids. It was the cutest thing in the entire world.”
Once they discovered the kids camp, everything changed. Everly even grew a bond with a friendly camp counselor named Tony, who Tatum pointed out was fairly cute.
Everly “learned how to make s’mores, go fishing, go sailing,” she said, adding that her little girl played baseball with pinecones.
Doesn’t get more outdoorsy than that!
Jenna Dewan Tatum Says ‘Carpe Diem’
The professional dancer took to Instagram for a few photos of her own in the nature. She shared a snap of herself posing on a rock in front of a gorgeous waterfall.
“If you need meโฆ” she wrote alongside the photo.
Tatum posted another photo with a similar background, but this top the actress posed topless. She was fully embracing the environment, while facing the lake and scenery with her hands held up on both sides.ย
“Carpe Diem,” she captioned the picture. “Till next time wilderness.”ย
By the looks of the trip, the family of three will probably make it a yearly occasion.
