Carrie Underwood is one busy lady, what with her crazy-successful music career, CALIA by Carrie Underwood clothing line and, of course, her almost 2-year-old son, Isaiah. In 2015, the star released her latest album, Storyteller, and she spent nearly all of 2016 on tour promoting the LP.
Naturally, such a hectic lifestyle warrants a break every once in a while, and the star revealed to People at the Grammy Awards on Sunday that she’s planning on taking a bit of a break from music to focus on being a wife and mom. Underwood added that she doesn’t want to rush her creative process.
“We just wrapped up the Storyteller Tour and I feel like my life right now, creatively, is kind of a blank space,” she explained.ย “I’m really excited about that, because you don’t know where you’re going to go.”
“I’m nervous because I want whatever I do next to be amazing,” she continued.ย I’m kind of waiting for lightning to strike and go: ‘Okay, it’s time to get creative and work on new music!’”
