“Sadly, it's par for the course with having a baby soon,” Levine said. “It’s life, and it’s beautiful, but it can be complicated, and I apologize for any inconvenience.”
Though the band will still be on tour, they will be taking a break around the time of Levine’s wife, Behati Prinsloo’s due date, September 20. The shows that are currently being rescheduled include Albany, Montreal, Quebec, Buffalo, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Milwaukee. The shows will take place at the beginning of 2017.
“Even when you think you’ve planned everything perfectly, sometimes life just kinda happens,” Levine said in a statement on Maroon 5’s website. “Soon Behati and I will be celebrating the birth of our first child and, as I’m sure you all understand, I need to be there. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone in the spring.”
Levine and Prinsloo have been very open about their pregnancy, sharing plenty of photos of Prinsloo’s growing baby bump over the last few months. It’s clear that the couple is really excited to welcome their baby girl into the world.
