Fans are brimming with excitement for the return of American Horror Story, but one specific person will most likely not enjoy the upcoming Cult season. Beloved actress Holland Taylor revealed she doesn’t enjoy seeing her girlfriend, AHS star Sarah Paulson, in perilous situations.
Taylor, who is set to appear in the Mr. Mercedes series, particularly wasn’t fond of Paulson’s multiples roles played in both the Hotel and Roanoke seasons.

“[Sarah’s] had two seasons in a row where she was running and screaming and fleeing and being in jeopardy,” Taylor told PEOPLE. “I don’t like watching her in jeopardy. It’s hard.”
Taylor clarified that while it’s strenuous to watch, she has nothing but praise for her partner’s work ethic and talent.
“I just admire her ability to do it, because they have very long hours on American Horror Story,” Taylor said. “And I really don’t know how she does it! I really don’t. I mean it’s relentless. But she’s a great actress and she can really go there. She can go wherever she has to go for a scene.”
Besides dishing on her AHS thoughts, Taylor also revealed some personal details about her relationship with Paulson. The two met through Twitter when Paulson reached out when she saw Taylor was upset about something.
“She [saw] me in a tweet and thought I was blue about something and she said, ‘How are you? What’s happening?’” Taylor recalls. “We got together shortly after that.”
Taylor, who also known for her roles in Two and a Half Men and Legally Blonde, is a regular on Mr. Mercedes, which airs Wednesdays on Audience at 8 p.m. ET.
Paulson is set two return to American Horror Story yet again for a new role in the Cult season, which premieres Sept. 5 on FX at 10 p.m. ET.
