Thomas Rhett announced this week that his new album, Life Changes, will drop on Sept. 8, and the country singer released his latest single, “Unforgettable,” on Friday, July 28.

Rhett has certainly gone through his fair share of “life changes” this year — he and wife Lauren Akins recently adopted daughter Willa Grey from Africa and Akins is currently pregnant with the couple’s first biological child, so the singer likely had no shortage of inspiration for his latest batch of tunes.

“Get Me Some of That”

Undeniably rooted in the bro-country genre, “Get Me Some of That” was Rhett’s fourth single and his second song to hit number one. While the song’s thematic content mirrors many of its fellow tunes from the time, Rhett’s songwriting skills help elevate the track to sing-along-worthy status.

Edmonton last night was one I’ll never forget. Thank you guys for being so loud! See y’all in Lethbridge tonight!??

“Make Me Wanna”

The fifth single from Rhett’s first album, “Make Me Wanna” introduced some of the more unique aspects of the singer’s sound, including a whistling melody and doo-wop inspired groove.

“Crash and Burn”

This upbeat ode to failed relationships served as Rhett’s first single from his second album, and featured a much heavier pop and R&B-tinged sound than his previous releases. Fans were clearly into Rhett’s new sound, as the track hit number one on the country airplay chart.

“Die a Happy Man”

Easily one of the star’s most beautiful songs, “Die a Happy Man” has won multiple awards and sat at number one on the country airplay chart for eight weeks. Written as an ode to Akins, the song also comes with a sweet music video showcasing the adorable couple on vacation.

“Craving You”

Rhett teamed up with country star Maren Morris for this upbeat number, which served as the lead single from Life Changes. The song is currently sitting in the top 10 on the country charts, and the heist film-style music video is a must-watch.

@marenmorris you freaking rock

“Unforgettable”

Sure, Rhett’s new single just dropped today, but that doesn’t mean it’s not one of his catchiest songs to date. And since it’s another love song for his wife, that automatically makes the track extra swoon-worthy.
