When Jake Owen isn’t on tour performing his hit tunes, the country singer is at home spending time with his 4-year-old daughter Olive Pearl.
The “Good Company” singer spoke to Taste of Country about his daughter’s favorite summer activities, which lucky for him line up with his.

“She likes water. She loves the boat. We go out on the boat a lot,” Owen says. “I mean kids, they love pools, swimming pool, running through sprinklers, anything like that.”

If the two aren’t enjoying time on the lake, they still manage to have fun no matter what they do. “We’re always throwing water balloonsโฆor doing something. She keeps me busy, for sure,” he says.
Olive Pearl isn’t the only one Owen gets to share his passions with. In June, the father of one had a new baseball park dedicated in his honor in his hometown of Vero Beach, Florida. The new venue offers children the opportunity to learn more about sports, have access to after school programs and receive coaching from local law enforcement and firefighters.
Owen was completely humbled by the gesture and hopes the kids get the same experience he received.
“You have to learn to lose to understand the feeling of winning, and you have to win in order to understand the feeling of losing,” he said. “I just think that, as a child, that’s important to learn and to always kind of build that sort of feeling of trying your hardest every time you put your mind towards anything.”
