In CMT‘s CMT Crossroads: Earth, Wind & Fire and Friends concert, the legendary R&B group shared the stage at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena with a number of country famous country acts including Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker and Martina McBride for many timeless songs. But one performance took an R&B classic to new heights.

As reported by Rare, Rascal Flatts joined Earth, Wind & Fire for an incredible performance of one of the group’s iconic hit ballads.

For the song “After the Love Has Gone” Rascal Flatts took the stage and not only does the band join the R&B crooners in simply singing the classic hit, Rascal Flatts lead singer Gary LeVox’s lets his voice soar.

The once in a lifetime performance, which aired on CMT on June 23 was so powerful that the band was still talking about it on social media, posting a link to the performance to their Facebook on Thursday.

“Still can’t believe we got to sing ‘After the Love Has Gone’ with Earth, Wind & Fire!!” the band wrote.
