Marilyn Manson has revealed that his father, Hugh Warner, has died. Along with the revelation, Manson shared an unseen photo of the father-and-son duo taken when the singer was just a child.
The photo shows the two posing for a studio shot while wearing matching polo shirts. It’s a rare look at the “Beautiful People” singer that’s especially touching given the circumstances.

“Today I lost my father, Hugh Warner,” Manson captioned the photo. “He taught me how to be a man, a fighter and a survivor. He taught me how to shoot a gun. How to drive. How to lead. He will always be the best dad in the world. Somehow and somewhere, I know he is with my mom now. I will keep my promise and never let you down. I miss and love you dad.”
Hugh’s death follows the death of Manson’s mother, Barbara Warner, in 2014. She suffered from dementia, according to the Daily Mail.
The cause of death for Hugh has not been released at this time.
