Sheryl Crow made an appearance on ABC’s The View where she spoke about her views on the 2016 presidential candidates. Turns out the singer has met both the candidates in the past. However, she has decided that she won’t let her children watch Donald Trump when he is on television.
“I did travel with Mrs. Clinton. I went to Bosnia. She has done a lot of work for, like, 30 years for women and children,” Crow said to the hosts of the show.

When it comes to Trump, Crow says that she did meet him, but that was long before he was running for office. She says that she met him on the set of the movie Studio 54 and that he was just being very much himself. That is the only time the singer has met the GOP nominee.
“My kids, I don’t want to go too far into it but I don’t lie my kids watch TV when he’s on,” she admitted. “it’s just โ I want to be able to say to my kids, being the president of the United States is the most honorable position and it needs to go back to that and we need to change the dialogue.”
Crow admitted that she is voting for Clinton. And in terms of changing the dialogue, she also made a point that she is sick of seeing the “bigotry” that surrounds Clinton running for president. She is the first female candidate to be nominated for the office, and Crow believes that the people are being unnecessarily rude towards her, in a similar way they were when Barack Obama was running as the first African-American nominee.
