The video shows the singer throughout her young career to the tune of Jason Mraz’s I Won’t Give Up, interacting with fans and her family, especially her mother Tina Grimmie, who can be seen numerous times throughout. In a sweet and inspiring clip that concludes the video, Grimmie speaks to her fans, telling them: “You’re strong. So own it. Love, Me.”
The singer’s family has received an outpouring of support from fans and musicians, including Adam Levine, who is helping the family take care of funeral expenses. Her brother, Marcus Grimmie, expressed his gratitude for all the support.
“She loved this town, she loved this state, she loved singing, she loved the Lord and she loved me and she was my baby sister. Thank you to everyone once again. I wish I could elaborate more. You guys didn’t know her like I did, so thank you. This is awesome.”
She will be missed.
