The stars of This Is Us truly immersed themselves in their characters and many of them related to their roles on a very deep level.
Chrissy Metz can understand her character Kate in more ways than one and was a true role model for many women throughout the season. But Cosmopolitan reports now that as Metz’s character continues to evolve, she has but one request for season two: filming a few steamy scenes with her onscreen boyfriend Toby.

The 36-year-old actressย would love to have a sex scene between Kate and Toby on the next season of This Is Us.
“I want it on screen โย I guess it’ll offend people, still. But fat people do have sex, for the record,” she said.ย

Her idea of a sex scene would fit in perfectly with her character’s story line as Kate is currently engaged Toby.
Metz, who has struggled with years of dieting and depression prior to landing her popular role, says she thinks plus-size bodies are “awesome and sexy.”

Metz has been in a relationship with This Is Us cameraman Josh Stancil for five months. The two met on set and Metzย actually teased him about inhaling his lunch one day to break the ice.
“Before I even know it, I called out, ‘You better slow down or you’re going to choke on your food.’ I am typically a little more charismatic than that, I swear,”ย she joked withย Marie Claireย recently. The relationship, she admits, was “very unexpected. My priority was my job and I was not trying to blow my big shot.”

She spoke about her new confidence and hopesย that hasย inspired others to accept themselves as they are.
“We spend our lives comparing and despairing and possibly never receiving our deserved true happiness,” she wrote in an Instagramย caption. “Why is that? Why don’t we uplift instead of repress? Why can’t we encourage instead of deter?”
She added, “It doesn’t matter where you come from, what your scale currently says or what society has taught you to believe.
You are entitled to greatness. No matter what. I say this to you and as a reminder to myself.”
