“The Rock” is strong to the finish ’cause he eats his spinach. Hollywood superstar Dwayne Johnson (Furious 7, San Andreas) spent this past Halloween dressed as Popeye the Sailor Man.
“Never buy a costume that says ‘One size fits most,’” Johnson wrote on Instagram. He included the hashtags: “#PissedOffPopeye,” “#CostumeNeedsToComeInSilverbackSize,” “#CornCobPipe,” “#LooksMoreLikeACrackPipe” and “#HappyHalloween.”

Popeye was created in 1929 by Elzie Segar. The pipe-smoking sailor with ballooning forearms and a painful squint first appeared in “Thimble Theater” comic strip as a one-off side character, but interest in the character was so high that he was brought back and eventually the strip was renamed after him.
