Furious 7 has sped through the $500 million benchmark in less than a week after its worldwide premiere.
On Wednesday, the latest installment in the Fast and Furious franchise reached $183.7 million at the domestic box office and $343.1 million at foreign box offices, culminating in a worldwide total of $526.8 million. If Furious 7 keeps the pace up, according to the Hollywood Reporter, it will soon pass Fifty Shades of Grey as the top-grossing film of 2015. Gray’s global total clocked in at $566.1 million, making it an easy target for Furious 7. Heading into this weekend, The Hollywood Reporter posits that Furious 7 could make as much as $60 million domestically.
