Arnold Schwarzenegger might be known as the Terminator in film, but when he’s not blowing stuff up on the big screen, the actor seems to have a heart for nature.
This was apparent in a recent video posted by Schwarzenegger on his Youtube page. The actor went on safari in South Africa, where he encountered the curious little Elephant (okay, not so little) you see above. The Elephant was investigating their Jeep a bit at the beginning, and then after seemingly giving up, turned around and started to pick up speed as the jeep sped away. It really was the beginning of some giant chase scene in one of Arnold’s movies, and while it was a bit scary for a minute, Arnold expressed his thoughts about the encounter.

“I couldn’t have written this safari encounter better if it was a movie. I’m absolutely in awe of these beautiful, strong animals, even though some of us had to change our pants after this. We need to stop killing them – take a photo, not a shot. Would you rather be able to experience these creatures or a hunk of ivory? I thought so.”
They really are beautiful animals and are truly breathtaking in their natural environment. Hopefully, they will continue to be for years to come.
As for Arnold, once he completes his trip the actor has a few films on the horizon, including The Legend of Conan, 478 (with Maggie Grace) , and Why We’re Killing Gunther (with Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam).
