Bill Goldberg is arguably one of the greatest WWE stars of all time, and now it seems the longtime legend could find his way back inside the ring.

Goldberg appeared on ESPN with host Jonathan Coachmen, who asked the wrestler if there could be in-ring return in the future.

"I've been preparing to answer that question for 12 years," Goldberg said, "Look at me, Coach. I'm an old man, here, I'm 49 years old. A guy like Ric Flair at 49 can go out and do his character. A guy at 49 to go out and do Goldberg again? I don't know what the odds are."

In other words, Goldberg didn't say no. And that's enough to get diehard WWE fans more than excited at the prospect of Goldberg returning to the ring. But even Goldberg admits that if he did return, things would be different.

"I want the ability to be that guy again, but there's a compromise there. To be that guy at 49 years old, do you risk losing your legacy?" Goldberg mused.

Of course if Goldberg did return, we'd all want to see a rematch against Brock Lesnar. And it seems the WWE legend feels the same way.

"[There's] a plethora of people that I haven't had the opportunity to kick their ass yet (...) I would be remiss in saying that I don't owe Brock Lesnar a rematch. I think that if I ever came back, that'd be the match."

"Brock's a different human being," Golberg continued. "Matter of fact, he's probably not even a human being. He's like a superhero alien guy—big, strong, fast and mean. But I don't know, man, I beat him once."

Our fingers are crossed for Goldberg's return. Let's get it on!
