When asked about the current creepy clown phenomenon, Ghostbusters star Ernie Hudson just gave the most perfect response. A reporter for TMZ caught up with the 70-year-old actor taped Hudson's commentary on the issue while walking on the streets.

The man taking the video asked, "Have you heard about these clowns that have been going around and scaring people and stuff like that?"

"Yeah, I heard but I haven't heard a lot about it so I don't really know what's happening," Hudson said.

The reporter continued, "Do you clowns scare you? Have you ever been scared by clowns at all?"

"Not if it's in a circus," Hudson replied. "Outside my bedroom window, yeah that might be a little unnerving."

It might be a bit of an understatement to call seeing a clown outside your window only "a little unnerving," but we are in absolute agreement with Ernie Hudson on this.

All over the United States, people dressed like creepy clowns have been going out in public to terrorize their communities. The epidemic began after a story broke saying that several clowns tried to lure a group of children into the woods in Greenville County, South Carolina. While some may look at it as a joke, many people do not believe that this is a joking matter in the slightest.

Several run-ins with these sinister characters have been captured on tape, and they are absolutely terrifying. On one occasion, a clown was seen on surveillance footage attempting to open all the doors to a man's house. In another incident in Ohio, two friends taking a jog through the park snapchatted a video of a clown chasing them with a knife.

The epidemic has become so vastly prevalent that even the White House press has commented on the issue. "This is a situation that law enforcement is taking quite seriously," a White House spokesman stated.

How would you react if a creepy clown showed up outside your bedroom window?
