Huffington Post reports that the premiere was not only a milestone for Sansa, played by Sophie Turner, but it was one that had her publicly defy her half-brother, Jon Snow as she asserted herself as a force to be reckoned with. Not only did she made it clear that she’s well aware of Littlefinger’s manipulative plans, but she engaged in a heated debate with Jon about Westeros’ current ruler, Cersei.

“You’re the military man, but I know her,” Sansa tells Jon. “If you’re her enemy, she’ll never stop until she’s destroyed you. Everyone who’s ever crossed her she’s found a way to murder.”

“You almost sound as if you admire her,” Jon said.

“I learned a great deal from her,” she retorts.

And learn she did, as eagle-eyed fans of the show noticed Sansa might be turning into Cersei herself with the very subtle clue being of the two sharing that iconic hairdo with the braids.

In an interview with Refinery29, Turner says everything on the show is not just a coincidence, commenting on how the character’s consistently altering hairstyles are actually not that random.

“Sansa’s hair is constantly reflecting the people she’s learning from, or mimicking, or inspired by at the time,” she explained. “When she’s Cersei’s prisoner, and she’s kind of absorbing all her manipulative techniques, it’s reflected in her hairstyle, and when she’s finding the spirit of Margaery in herself, she wears her hair like Margaery.”

Fans took to social media to comment on the glaring similarities.

Could this be a hint that Game of Thrones is foreshadowing what’s to come? Maybe. Maybe not. Perhaps Turner is just teasing everyone.

Lest we forget that Jon Snow died, and the showrunners and its star teased audiences for months that he was in fact a goner? After all, her character did wear her hair a lot like her mother, Catelyn Stark too, so maybe it is a way to pay homage to her mother. Whatever the case, audiences will have to wait and see.

Game of Thrones airs Sundays on HBO at 9 p.m. EST.
