Kristin Cavallari's innocent Instagram post about her family's Fourth of July celebrations quickly turned ugly as critics came out of the woodwork, commenting that her sons are too skinny, Chicago Tribune reports.

"Yes, I starve my children," Cavallari wrote. "Just blocked the most people I've ever blocked in my entire life. Happy 4th hahaha."

The controversial picture featured The Hills star's sons, Camden Jack and Jaxon Wyatt in matching bathing suits at the beach with her husband, footballer Jay Cutler.

Cavallari is well-known for her healthful eating habits and recipes. In her book, "Balancing in Heels: My Journey to Health, Happiness, and Making it all Work," Cavallari reveals her diet consists of food free of genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

The star landed in the hot seat two years ago when she said she didn't vaccinate her oldest son because of fears vaccination will cause autism, despite the fact that the theory has been widely-debunked with the scientist discredited.
