Twitter beef is always fun. But when it involves WWE Superstars, it's even better.

After the Miz awarded himself the Mizzie for "Best Man in WWE," SmackDown Superstar, Tye Dillinger offered his congratulations, then extended a competitive invitation. The Miz being the verbal assassin that he's come to be, took it as a great opportunity to get nasty. And Dillinger returned the insult swiftly:

Well, the Miz probably wasn't expecting such a needling retort from The Perfect 10. In wrestling, it's best to assume everything is fake but when a man utilizes sexual innuendo in reference to another man's wife, well, things could get real. The Miz has yet to respond to Dillinger's jab, but that doesn't mean he won't.

For Dillinger, this comes on the heels of a tiny bit of momentum from last week. On the latest episode of SmackDown, Dillinger found himself in the final 3 of the Independence Day Battle Royal. He had done a nice job of wrecking shop, putting some of his offensive arsenal on display. He would ultimately lose, but he made more of an impression than 90% of people involved in the match.

That said, he's got a long way to get before reaching the Miz's level. For the Intercontinental Champion, 2016-2017 has been a seminal era. Now a WWE veteran, The Miz has entered the story-telling prime of his career. He's not only revitalized the art of the promo, but also the prestige of the Intercontinental Championship.

For the Miz, he doesn't have too much to gain by partaking in an insult war with someone like Dillinger. However, for The Perfect 10, calling out the Miz like this could be beneficial. It may not land him in the WrestleMania main event, but it keeps him relevant - something all wrestlers are striving for.
