In 2005, Natalee went missing in Aruba on a high school graduation trip. Through a private investigation on and off the island, her father, Dave Holloway, and investigator, T.J. Ward, believe that they have located the skeletal human remains that could belong to Natalee, who was 18 at the time she went missing.

The Oxygen docuseries revealed in a previous episode that Holloway and Ward attempted to set up an undercover sting operation conducted in February of this year. The two hoped to record a confession from a man who allegedly said he helped dispose of Natalee’s body.

The sting was reliant upon an informant named Gabriel. He told Holloway and Ward that a man he knew claimed to have dug up Natalee’s buried body. The man then said he took it to a crematory so that her ashes could be dumped into the sea, according to PEOPLE.

The main suspect in the crime is Joran van der Sloot, who is serving time in Peru for an unrelated murder. Gabriel claimed that van der Sloot gave Natalee the date-rape drug and she later choked to death on her own vomit.

The third episode teaser shows a phone call between Gabriel in Ward during which the informant said that he was growing anxious with his assignment.

“I have not been able to work or go nowhere because I’ve been watching a nutcase,” Gabriel said. “It’s been really stressful on my behalf.”

“I feel like I’m getting taken advantage of, when I’m doing all the godd*mn work. .. I feel like I’m getting struck in the face, and I quit,” he continued.

Ward then addresses the difficulties of interacting with Gabriel.

“Dealing with Gabriel on a day-to-day basis is very challenging. It’s challenging having to deal with his frustration conversation after conversation after conversation,” Ward said.
