It’s been an interesting year for wrestling legend Hulk Hogan.
After the leak of his sex tape as well as a racist tirade WWE severed ties with one of their biggest stars of all time, which resulted in Hogan suing Gawker and subsequentially winning the lawsuit. Even with the money and Gawker media being shut down, Hogan still misses being in the ring.

On the latest episode of Eric Bischoff’s Bischoff on Wrestling podcast, the guest was Mickey Gall who defeated CM Punk at UFC 203. It was also the finale of a three-part interview with the Hulkster himself and they talked about what Hogan misses most about not being in the ring.
“That’s an easy answer,” Hogan replied. “That is the only place that I ever felt free. What I was in the ring people call it ‘in the moment’. People call it ‘being aware’. All of that spiritual stuff that people attach to ‘being in the moment’ and being perfectly happy and perfectly content. For me, that was in the ring.”
The wrestling legend continued with how when he was in the ring he didn’t have to worry about his kids or his now ex-wife Linda. “I didn’t have to worry about all the chatter. The politics of ‘why is Hulk Hogan on top.’ All the gaga as Pat Patterson would say.”
Hogan also mentioned how much wrestling he still watches and what celebrity he enjoyed working with most. You can check out the rest of the interview here.
