“Shake It Off” singer Taylor Swift is the highest paid celebrity this year, raking in around $170 million. The 26-year-old pop superstar more than doubled her previous high – set last year – of $80 million, according to Forbes.
Swift comes out ahead of other chart-topping female pop stars on Forbes’ annual list of the 100 highest paid celebrities such as: Adele at No. 9 with $80.5 million, Madonna at No. 12 with $76.5, Rihanna at No. 13 with $75 million, and Katy Perry at No. 63 with $41 million.

Swift brought in enormous earnings with her star-studded “1989 World Tour.” Forbes mentioned, “She smashed the Rolling Stones’ North American touring record, grossing $200 million on the continent en route to quarter of a billion dollars in total.” Also worth noting, Swift “pads her pocketbook by shilling for brands including Diet Coke, Keds and Apple.”
Calvin Harris, Swift’s ex-boyfriend, landed at number 21 on the magazine’s list with $63 million. If Swift had stayed with Harris, the couple would have beaten out Beyonce and Jay-Z for the top spot as the year’s top-earning couple. Swift has been rumored to be with 35-year-old actor Tom Hiddleston, but neither have confirmed nor denied the relationship publicly.
