Well, Justin Bieber went and did exactly what he said he would do if this whole Selena Gomez feud kept progressing. He deactivated his Instagram account, but hey, we should have seen it coming since he warned us:
I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand. If you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.
The singer has had a famous streak for making high claims and then not following through. In 2013, Bieber told his Twitter followers he would be retiring and that never happened. So it’s hard to gauge how long his account will be shut down, but it’s obvious he’s not a happy camper about how things are going right now.

But the real interesting part about all of this is that Twitter is freaking out over this, so much so that #JustinDeactivatedParty is one of the top trends in the United States right now. And the reactions within that hashtag are pure gold, as some people are loving it and others are losing it.
If I was a betting man, I’d day Justin Bieber will follow his own trend of not following through with claims like this so that Instagram account will probably be up and running in no time.
