Street Fighter V fans who want to see the best in the world play the game at the EVO Championship series don’t have to travel to Las Vegas or even find the stream online. This year, they can watch directly on their big screens, as ESPN 2 will broadcast the Street Fighter V World Championship live. The broadcast is set for Sunday July 17 at 7pm Pacific and 10pm Eastern, live from Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV.

The EVO Championship for Street Fighter V has the highest registration of any EVO competition, already the largest series of fighting game competitions.

We are always exploring ways to serve the growing and passionate audience of competitive gaming, and we look forward to delivering this exciting event to fans.”

ESPN began covering eSports in earnest last year, when they broadcast the Heroes of the Storm competition live on ESPN2 in April 2015. They have a dedicated eSports page on their main website, similar to how they cover NHL, NBA, NFL, MLB, and any other sports.
