After a tough competition with other networks, Fox has finally won the rights to Ghosted. The upcoming show is a single-camera comedy from That Awkward Moment‘s Tom Gormican with Parks and Recreation actor Adam Scott, and The Office alum Craig Robinson set to star and executive produce.
The series has been described as a comedic version of the X-Files, which also aired on Fox. Ghosted revolves around Robinson, who will portray Leroy Wright, and his partner Max Allison, who will be brought to life by Adam Scott. Leroy Wright is a hilariously skeptic, and cynical type character who teams up with the genius “true believer” in the paranormal, Max Allison, in an effort to investigate the “unexplained” activity in the Los Angeles area. While working for the Underground Investigative Service, Wright and Allison discover a larger mystery that is a force to be reckoned as it threatens all mankind.

Other recent roles for Craig Robinson include a recurring role on Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and on USA’s award winning drama Mr. Robot. Scott can be seen next in the HBO limited series titled Big Little Lies.
Gormican will be penning the script for the series, and will be executive producing alongside Robinson, Scott and Art’s Mark Schulman and Oly Obst, according to Deadline. 20th Century Fox TV is the studio, producing in conjunction with 3 Arts Entertainment.
