Hollywood legend Bill Murray will be taking on quite a different role this weekend. The Ghostbusters actor will be bartending at his son Homer’s new bar called 21 Greenpoint.
Murray’s son opened the joint with his business partner Syd Silver. The duo is attempting to replace their previous venture, the restaurant called the River Styx. The cocktails that will be offered at 21 Greenpoint are the creations of beverage director Sean mcClure, an alum of Dirty French and Le Bernardin, according to Timeout.

While Murray usually likes to do everything off the cuff, such as crashing karaoke parties and weddings, his bartending gig at 21 Greenpoint is a pre-planned event. Needless to say, the spot will likely be jam-packed from the time the Groundhog Day actor gets there. Murray will be starting his shift at the new restaurant at 7:00 p.m. on both Friday September 16, and Saturday September 17. Unfortunately, the event is a private affair and is guest list-only.
This actually isn’t the first time that Murray has concocted drinks in a bartender’s role. At SXSW in 2010, he randomly popped up at the Austin bar Shangri-La with Wu Tang Clan to pour up tequila shots for everybody.

If you could have any celebrity be your bartender for the night, who would you pick?
