I’m grateful @ComedyCentral is giving me this time to work on other projects. Now please grab my book #TheGirlWithTheLowerBackTattoo for now

Schumer mentions that she is merely taking a break from her show for at least a year to focus her talents elsewhere. Schumer also just released her book “The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo.” While she won’t be doing the show for the “foreseeable future,” Schumer stated that she “couldn’t be happier” with her relationship with Comedy Central.
The comedian also took to Twitter to address a recent controversy regarding Kurt Metzger, one of her former writers on the show. Metzger has received heavy backlash for some incendiary comments about victims of sexual assault.
Schumer sent this tweet in response to the controversy…
I am so saddened and disappointed in Kurt Metzger. He is my friend and a great writer and I couldn’t be more against his recent actions.
