Mother Teresa passed away 19 years ago after a life full of caring for the poor and dying in India. According to CBS News, her good deeds are finally being recognized in the highest possible way, she is officially becoming a saint.

On Sunday September 4, 2016, Pope Francis is said to be officially declaring Mother Teresa a saint. More than 100,000 tickets were distributed for the event that will take place at St. Peter Square in Vatican City, but it's expected that hundreds more will attend the event.

"She was a saint because she was a humble person," one of the Father's attending the event commented.

In order to be considered a Saint, a person must complete two miracles, one of which must happen after death. The world recognized nun from Albania is said to have not only cured one tumor-stricken woman in Calcutta, but also to have been responsible for the recovery of a Brazilian man who was suffering from a brain infection.

Most of Mother Teresa's efforts were focused in Calcutta, India, where she is being celebrated. Many across the world, especially in India, already consider her a saint and there are more than 750 houses in her order that are committed to continuing her work.

"It will be a privilege to now say that I had a mother who was a saint," said Gotham Lewis, who was rescued by Mother Teresa.
