The House From 'Father of the Bride' Is Up For Sale

You can now live just like the Banks family from Father Of The Bride as the beautiful house from the 1991 movie is now up for sale. The house has been listed on the market at a price of $1.998 million.

The house was built in 1925 and is an elegant Colonial sitting on a 18,119 square foot lot in Alhambra, CA at 500 North Almansor Street. The house is a 4,397 square foot building that features 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, a grand entry, elegant living room, large formal dining room, and a walnut paneled den/study, according to Zillow. The house also has a bright and cheery sunroom with a decorative Batchelder fountain. The kitchen has top of the line Thermadore appliances that include a 90-bottle wine refrigerator sitting in the room that overlooks the expansive yard beyond the French doors. The interior appointments include: arches, quality custom cabinetry, hardwood flooring, bookcases, and crown moldings. Also worth noting, there is a 3-car garage with a 600 square foot detached room that comes with a full bath.

While the house was used for filming in the wedding and basketball scenes in Father Of The Bride, a different home located in nearby Pasadena, California was used for the frontal scenes of the house. Apparently the house in Pasadena didn't have a large enough yard to accommodate the filmmakers for the basketball scenes, according to ABC News.

Gluck also mentioned, "I've been really fortunate to work in an area with a lot of movie and TV locations, but I have to say this is one of my all-time favorites."
