We’ve all been on that road trip or that long plane flight before where you would do anything to be able to fall asleep, but you just can’t get comfortable. Thanks to the NodPod, those days are now over.

After many sleepless trips, Paula Blankenship was determined to find a solution to the problem. She went on to create the NodPod, which is a head hammock that recreates the way you sleep with your head being kept at a 90-degree angle but in the upright position. The Kickstarter campaign for the product calls the NodPod a “patented solution which provides amazing sleep while traveling. The NodPod recreates how you sleep on a bed but in an upright position.”

The product features an “Over the Top” design that keeps your head from falling forward or to the left or the right. The material where the NodPod hits your chin is made of memory foam which allows for a soft and relaxing sleep. Also, for all of your droolers out there, the exterior is crafted out of a unique water repellent PU coated fabric that makes it easy to clean.

Naturally, one may be concerned about the safety of the product, but the NodPod features a cord breakaway that will come undone during sudden pressure/impact. And in case you’re worried about disturbing a passenger behind you on a plane, the cords will not obstruct the view of the TV behind you.

To purchase the NodPod, head over to KickStarter here.

From all of us that have ever struggled to sleep while traveling, we would like to issue a collective “Thank You” to Paula Blankenship and her innovative product, the NodPod.
