Johnny Depp's divorce from Amber Heard has already gone off the rails and his latest move throws some subtle but serious shade at his ex.

The actor got a tattoo across his knuckles that said "Slim" early on in his relationship with Heard, since that was one of his nicknames for her, according to Cosmopolitan. Some of his fans noticed, however, that those four little letters had been changed to say something a little less endearing in the wake of their split.

His knuckles appear to have been edited to spell out "scum" instead.

The 53-year-old also had a pin-up style likeness of Heard on his right bicep, which he appears to have simply inked over.

Depp of all people should have known that getting tattoos for someone you're in a relationship with is risky. After his split from Winona Ryder he ended up with a "Wino Forever" tattoo.

While a tattoo artist's creativity may be to blame for the harsh touch-up on his knuckles, it's possible the insult was intentional due to the nature of their public divorce.
