Kim Zolciak-Biermann is mom to six kids, but she knows it doesn't get any easier to say goodbye when it's time for them to take a new step.

The Bravolebrity's 4-year-old son, Kash, was the latest in her brood to enter kindergarten Monday, and the 39-year-old made sure to document the moment with an Instagram post.

"@kashbiermann did great getting out of the car...and as soon as he did I LOST it," Zolciak-Bierman wrote alongside a snap of herself, husband Kroy Biermann, Kash and the couple's son KJ. "My hubby and @arianabiermann were so sweet talking me down!"

"Kj started 1st grade Thursday of last week (and I'm surprised he isn't president of his school yet) lol but my nugget Kash is a bit more sensitive and shy," she continued. "There is something about boys that just gets me. THANK YOU for all of your sweet comments through all my tears last night I didn't feel as crazy knowing so many of you are going through the same."

Zolciak-Biermann also took to Instagram the night before to ask her followers if drinking wine at 7 a.m. was okay.

"I'm such a mess over my 'Kashew' starting kindergarten tomorrow," she wrote. "You would think this would get easier (with Kash being my 4th) off to kindergarten BUT I swear it gets harder!!"

Earlier this year, the family had a major scare when Kash was bitten by a dog.

"I don't know where to start. The last 14hrs of our lives has been a living nightmare," Zolciak-Biermann wrote on Instagram at the time. "My sweet @kashbiermann was bit by a dog and had very traumatic injuries. I've never prayed so hard, or been so scared in my life."

A few days later, the 4-year-old was released from the hospital, with his mom sharing a happy update.

"God is Good! We are so incredibly thankful and blessed!" she shared on Instagram. "In no time he will heal up perfectly and you will never know this happened!"
