More than 22,000 people have been evacuated from the Tomorrowland Unite Spain festival in Barcelona after a massive fire broke out on the concert stage, reports say.

According to The Sun, just hours before popular DJ Steve Aoki was set to headline the event, a fire started on the left-hand side of the stage.
It quickly spread and the festival-goers had to be evacuated.
Someone who was present at the festival told reporters that the stage “just exploded,” but gave no explanation has been given as to what happened or why.

Emergency responders are on the scene, and it’s been said that firefighters are seriously concerned about the structural integrity of the burning stage.
Local media has apparently been reporting that the festival organizers will be refunding all of the concert-attendees.

In addition to Steve Aoki, Dutch DJ Afrojack and Swedish DJ Ingrosso were also scheduled to appear. None of the featured acts appear to have commented on the fire at this time.
Twitter users almost immediately began streaming and recording the fire after it broke out.
At the time of publication, no injuries or fatalities have been reported.
