I’m touching a tiger….eeeheehehe.
The first trailer for the upcoming action adventure film Gold released today, giving us a glimpse of Matthew McConaughey as Kenny Wells – an unlucky man who teams-up with geologist Michael Acosta (Édgar Ramírez) to search for gold deep in the uncharted jungles of Indonesia. If this doesn’t look like a preview to an Oscar-worthy performance, we don’t know what does.

The seemingly fun and flashy (because, gold) film, directed by Stephen Gaghan (Sryiana) is based on true events, prompting McConaughey to put on the extra pounds and sport a receding hairline, making him almost unrecognizable.
Who is this guy? This is not the man whom we know so well from the Lincoln car commercials and his many Oscar-winning performances. Plus, he is touching a tiger and giggling uncontrollably.
Gaghan recently told Vulture:
“I feel pretty certain that people are gonna be blown away by McConaughey in this film — it’s a complete transformation.“
We’re already blown away, and this is just the trailer…
